Hi! My name is Jennifer Spry. I am a web developer living in Hamburg Germany. I like good stories, coding and creating things.

You can find me
here and here
or here and here.

But to be honest I am not much of an internet content creator. So instead let me at least provide you with some entertainment. These are my favourite things on and off the Internet right now.

  • No Such Thing As A Fish

If you love random fun facts and British comedy this is the show for you. The folks who do the research for the british TV show QI take their knowledge to amuse and educate us every week.

  • The Lizzie Bennet Diaries

Imagine "Pride and Prejudice" happening nowadays on youtube. Lizzie Bennet is a grad student and for her thesis she starts to vlog about her life. The show has the most lovable cast and is 100% rewatchable!

  • CGP Grey

He makes the best informational videos on youtube. There are a lot of videos about voting systems but also several on current topics such as machine learning.

  • The Guardian's Audio Long Reads

While having people read long articles to you in soothing voices is really good to fall asleep to, it is also very interesting.

  • My Dad Wrote A Porno

The erotic literature named "Belinda blinked" is possible the worst book in existence. The son of the author reads a chapter every week and discusses it with his friends. Its hilarious.

  • Lindsay Ellis

You would be surprised how much interesting stuff there is to say about the transformers franchise. Lindsay does media analysis videos on youtube.

  • The Setup Wizard

Hogwarts now has an IT guy and he blogs about his experiences of trying to turn the Room of Requirement into a Starbucks and using owls as delivery drones.

  • A Short History of Nearly Everything - Bill Bryson

I recommend every book by Bill Bryson that I have ever read but this one is my favorite. Readers should be warned that they will annoy their fellow humans with interesting facts from the book for weeks.

  • Factfulness - Hans Rosling

Turns out things are actually getting better. Not that there is not still a lot of room for improvement but overall a lot of things are better and it makes me happy to read about that.

  • Lage der Nation

(Only german, sorry!) Ein wöchentlicher Podcast über die Dinge, die grade durch die Nachrichten gehen. Holt einen bei jedem Thema ab und beleuchtet alle Seiten.
